CEO & Co-Founder
Robin Guo leads the business side of LionBio, including strategy, business development, hiring, fundraising, and marketing. He was formerly a VC at Andreessen Horowitz, and helped created the a16z speedrun program. Before that, he studied Biomedical Engineering at Columbia and worked at McKinsey in their pharmaceuticals group.
Inventor & Co-Founder
Dr. Kam W. Leong is the Samuel Y. Sheng Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University and a globally recognized leader in biomaterials and drug delivery. A member of the National Academy of Engineering, Medicine, and Inventors, he has authored over 600 publications and holds 60+ patents. As Co-Founder of LionBio, he provides scientific leadership for its core technologies.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Stephen Shrewsbury leads clinical development at LionBio, having previously served as CMO at MAP, AVI BioPharma (now Sarepta Therapeutics), Aquinox, and Impel Pharmaceuticals, where he worked on POD-enabled Upper Nasal Space delivery programs. He qualified as a doctor at the University of Liverpool and spent 20 years in clinical practice, including 7 years at Glaxo. US-based for 26 years, he has led nasal and inhaled-delivery programs at Glaxo and Chiron, and now advises companies on nasal and pulmonary delivery through Shrewd Consulting.
VP of Preclinical
Dr. Satterly leads non-clinical development for LionBio. She founded KH Satterly Consulting and previously held R&D leadership roles at NeuraWell, Field Trip (now Reunion Neuroscience), and Impel NeuroPharma, where she led development of the FDA-approved Trudhesa nasal migraine product. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from University of Puget Sound and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Washington.
VP of CMC
Dr. Benjamin Maynor is a technology and product development executive with more than 20 years in biotech and pharmaceutical development. He led CMC at Orna Therapeutics and R&D at Liquidia (NASDAQ: LQDA), and now advises leading biotech and pharma companies on drug delivery and CMC strategy. He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Duke and a B.A. in Chemistry from Harvard.
Founding Senior Scientist
Dr. Huiyi Liang is a biomedical engineer trained in polymer chemistry, with over 10 years of experience in biomaterials, gene delivery, and drug delivery. Her work focuses on polymer- and nanoparticle-based platforms for nucleic acid delivery and peptide therapeutics. As a Founding Scientist of LionBio, she leads formulation development and translational strategy for the company's intranasal GLP-1 platform.

Scientific Advisor
Professor Edward Guo is the Stanley Dicker Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, where he directs the Bone Bioengineering Laboratory and previously chaired the BME department, helping grow it into a top-ten national program. A leading expert in biomechanics, medical imaging, and translational research, he also serves as Scientific Advisor to LionBio, providing strategic guidance on the development of innovative therapeutic technologies.
